George Clooney had his first major role in 1984 in the television medical comedy-drama E/R. In 1985 he did the movie Streethawk where he played Kevin Stark. He then played a handyman in the series The Facts of Life from 1985 to 1986. In 1987 George Clooney starred in Return to Horror High as Oliver,Grizzly II: The Predator, Combat Academy as Maj. Biff Woods and an episode of Murder, She Wrote as Kip Howard in the episode "No Laughing Murder". He also played Bobby the detective on one of the episodes of The Golden Girls in 1987.

George ClooneyIn 1988 George Clooney did Return of the Killer Tomatoes as Matt Stevens. George Clooney's first significant break was a semi-regular supporting role in the sitcom Roseanne where he played Roseanne Barr's overbearing boss Booker Brooks for 11 episodes from 1988 to 1991. This role was followed by the role of a construction worker on Baby Talk and a sexy detective James Falconer on Sisters from 1993-94. During 1990 to 1993 he also appeared in Red Surf(1990) as Remar, Unbecoming Age(1992) as Mac and The Harvest(1993) as Lip Synching Transvestite.

George Clooney achieved stardom when he was selected to play Dr. Doug Ross on the hit NBC drama ER in 1994-99 and also returned as a guest in the show's 15th and final season. In 1995 George Clooney appeared in a episode of Friends, "The One with Two Parts, Part Two".

George Clooney's first major Hollywood role was in the movie From Dusk Till Dawn, that was directed by Robert Rodriguez in 1996. He followed its success with One Fine Day with Michelle Pfeiffer in 1996 and The Peacemaker with Nicole Kidman in 1997. The Pacemaker was the initial feature length release from Dreamworks SKG studio. In between the above two movies he also starred in Curdled as Seth Gecko which is uncredited and in a documentary Full-Tilt Boogie as himself.

George ClooneyGeorge Clooney then succeeded Val Kilmer who had succeeded Michael Keaton, as the new Batman, in Batman & Robin. But the movie failed critically due to its campy style. Then the creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, chose him to play a role in the show as the voice of Stan Marsh's gay dog Sparky in the episode "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride". The role was without dialogues but Clooney had to imitate normal dog noises.

George Clooney got a role in the movie South Park:Bigger, Longer & Uncut in 1999 as Voice of Doctor Gouache. But in spite of working together the South Park show's creators, Parker and Stone, made fun of Clooney for his outspoken political views in their feature film Team America: World Police. He was also made fun of in the episode "Smug Alert!", that referred to his acceptance speech at the 78th Academy Awards. All these things were ignored by George Clooney.

George Clooney in 1998 starred in movieThe Thin Red Line as Captain Bosche, Out of Sight as Jack Foley and Waiting for Woody as himself in a Comedic Short. Clooney's Out of Sight, opposite Jennifer Lopez was the first of many collaborations with director Steven Soderbergh. In the begining of 1999 he also appeared in Three Kings. By mid of 1999, George Clooney left ER to continue with his full-time movie career. In the same year he also appeared in movies like The Book That Wrote Itself as himself, and The Limey as TV Interviewee.

Batman of the film Batman and Robin and Danny Ocean of the 3 movies series Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve and Oceans Thirteen, George Clooney is an American Hollywood Actor, Director, Producer and Screenwriter. His full name is George Timothy Clooney and is nicknamed as Gorgeous George. He was born on 6th May 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky. His mother Nina Bruce is a former pageant queen while his father Nick is a journalist, anchorman, game show and American Movie Classics host, and an aspiring politician from the state of Kentucky. He also has an elder sister named Adelia.

George Clooney is both an Irish and a German. George Clooney's cousins include actors Miguel and Rafael Ferrer, who are the sons of his aunt, singer Rosemary Clooney, and actor José Ferrer. He is also related to another singer, Debby Boone, who married José and Rosemary's son, Gabriel Ferrer. George Clooney did his schooling from Blessed Sacrament School in Ft. Mitchell (Kentucky), St. Michael's School in Columbus, and Sir Thomas Rich's Grammar School for Boys, Gloucester, in the United Kingdom.

George Clooney spent a greater part of his childhood in Ohio. It was during his tenure at these schools only when he developed a liking for theater and acting. His parents then moved to Augusta, Kentucky. Once in Augusta, George Clooney attended the Augusta High School where he acted in several plays as the lead actor. He stated that he was gud at school and earned all A's and a B there. George Clooney was also an enthusiastic baseball and basketball player.

George Clooney wanted to pursue a career in Law but later diverted from his aim. He tried out with the Cincinnati Reds in 1977 to play professional baseball, but was not offered a contract. He did not pass the first round of player cuts. He also attended Northern Kentucky University from 1979 to 1981 and also the University of Cincinnati for a short while, but did not graduate from any.
