Brad Pitt in his personal life has been known for his love affairs. He has dated a lot of woman like Robin Givens (Head Of The Class), Jill Schoelen (Cutting Class), Juliette Lewis (Too Young to Die? and Kalifornia) who at sixteen was ten years his junior when they started dating, Gwyneth Paltrow (Se7en) with whom he had an engagement too and actresses Sinitta and Thandie Newton.

In 1998 Brad Pitt met actress Jennifer Aniston and married her in Malibu on July 29, 2000. In January 2005, they both decided to formally separate and two months later, Aniston filed for divorce. As his marriage to Aniston was ending up he and actress Angelina Jolie were involved in a Hollywood scandal in which Jolie was called the "other woman", due to their chemistry during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

In April 2005, a set of photos were seen flashing in the media that confirmed the rumors of a relationship between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Then the pair were seen together almost every time and the media named them "Brangelina". Brad Pitt and Aniston finally seperated on October 2, 2005. On January 11, 2006, Jolie confirmed in public that she was pregnant with Brad Pitt's child. In an October 2006 interview with Esquire magazine, Brad Pitt admitted that he and Jolie will marry.

In July 2005, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie went to Ethiopia to adopt her second child, a six-month-old girl named Zahara. In December 2005, Brad Pitt requested for legally adopting Jolie's two (adopted) children as his own. On January 19, 2006, a judge in California approved this request, and the children's legal surnames were formally changed to "Jolie-Pitt".

On May 27, 2006, Jolie gave birth to a daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, in Swakopmund, Namibia by a scheduled caesarean section. Madame Tussauds in New York unveiled a wax figure of two-month-old Shiloh making it the first infant re-created in wax by Madame Tussauds.

On March 15, 2007, Jolie Pitt adopted a three-year-old boy from Vietnam, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.On July 12, 2008, Jolie gave birth to the couple's twins, a boy named Knox Léon and a girl named Vivienne Marcheline at the Lenval hospital in Nice, France.Now Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have three adopted children and three biological children and still Angelina Jolie wants more children to be added to their family.

Brad Pitt appeared in television commercials designed for the Asian market, advertising products as Edwin Jeans. He also appeared in a Heineken commercial during the 2005 Super Bowl.

Brad Pitt, along with Jennifer Aniston and Paramount Pictures head CEO Brad Grey, founded the production company, Plan B, in 2002. The company has produced films like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory(2005) starring Johnny Depp, The Departed (2006) and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007).

Brad Pitt has been an active supporter of research in diseases such as AIDS. He is the narrator of the Public Television series Rx for Survival: A Global Health Challenge. Brad Pitt is attached to an organization that focuses global attention and resources to stop and prevent mass atrocities, Not On Our Watch.

In 2006, Brad Pitt gathered a group of housing professionals together in the Hurricane Katrina-stricken New Orleans to begin planning a project Make It Right, to finance and construct 150 new houses in New Orleans.

Fight Club premiered at the Venice International Film Festival. His performance was appreciated. After Fight club Brad Pitt starred in Snatch, a gangster film along with Jason Statham, Vinnie Jones and Benicio del Toro. Brad Pitt played the role of Mickey, an Irish Gypsy boxer.

The film was an international success, earning $364 million but less than $133 million in North America. In 2005 Brad Pitt's Mr. & Mrs. Smith opposite Angelina Jolie released. The film gained world wide appreciation and the chemistry between the couple earned $478 million.

In 2006 Brad Pitt did only one film that was Babel opposite Cate Blanchett. His performance was well appreciated and the film was screened at the 31st annual Toronto International Film Festival in 2006. Babel earned a total of seven Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. In 2007, Brad Pitt appeared in the third Ocean's film Ocean's Thirteen as Rusty Ryan. This film earned $36 million at the international box-office. He produced and starred in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which was released in late 2007.
